VBA Developer

Job Description:

Looking for a junior VBA developer that is a detail oriented and organized self-starter to work primarily with our New York Accounting/Finance team. The role will assist in the automation of the month-end close processes and the production of various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements and other reporting documents. The individual will be working alongside the senior developer in the New York Accounting/Finance team and will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting both new and legacy VBA routines. The individual will also interact with members of other departments in the New York office, as well as members of the Accounting/Finance departments in our foreign offices.

Requirements:

The successful applicant must possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable with data in a fast-paced and intense environment. They will also possess the requirements below:

• Strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
• Experience in programming in any of the OO languages such as C++, Java, VB, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Mid-level programming experience in VBA is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organized, and thorough
• Motivated to continuously challenge, improve, and/or automate processes
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting instincts
• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
• A sense of responsibility, ownership, and urgency
