This position is stationed in New York City supporting the bank’s Infrastructure. The bank is undergoing a project to migrate to new corporate facilities. This position is a technical project manager familiar with key technologies and the activities associated with technology migrations. This is a temporary position in Infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and implementation for the migration of the Banks facilities, in coordination with IT Leadership
- Manage all aspects of the migration including facility, external vendor, and internal department integration points & communication connections
- Responsible for managing project, and ensuring that project is delivered on time, within budget and to the expectations of project sponsors and stakeholders
- The creation and timely maintenance of detailed project schedule including tasks, resources and percentage completion
- Utilize rigorous scope change control process to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery
- Prepare presentations and conduct meetings for Steering Committee, and manage weekly team meetings providing updates and status reports as requested
- Coordinate with executive sponsors and business stakeholders responsible for the project and Information Technology to facilitate delivery
- Prepare all project documentation including project charter & scope, progress reports, project budget, change control documentation, and other documents to comply with the Bank’s System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Identify project risks and maintain risk log throughout project
- Create a working environment that allows project team to work to the best of their abilities
- Regularly review and analyze the project scope
- Manage and coordinate participation of third party vendors within scope of the project
- Day-to-day responsibilities for controlling and managing the project
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in working in a complex/enterprise IT environment
- Past experience in facilities as it related to IT assets and migrations.
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and technologies including VOIP, Networking, WAN, Compute
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communications skills
