Instructional Designer

Job Description:

Fortune 100 company is looking for an instructional designer who has experience working on multiple projects with several subject matter experts and team members at the same time to create and revise innovative learning experiences and solutions such as eLearning modules, video scripts, case studies, role plays, virtual classrooms, assessments, instructor-led and microlearning.

The Instructional Designer should be able to develop these various learning solutions using tested instructional design theories, practices and methods to create learning activities that are engaging, activity-based, and results-oriented. Create solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners, primarily millennial learners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in instructional design, educational technology, business, communications or related field
  • Five or more years’ experience developing blended learning, including online, on-demand courses, as well as live webinars and other instructor-led learning
  • Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry
  • Ability to convert technical or complex information into easily used and understandable text and graphics.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (i.e., Adobe, Articulate)
  • Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills, adaptable to learning type and audience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritize work appropriately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point
