Fortune 100 company is seeking a Visual Interaction Designer. The candidate should be a design thinker and craftsperson, be able to thoughtfully contribute in a team environment from a project’s concept development phases through to build. You must be passionate about expressing interactions in visual form through clear, creative and proven user interfaces, animations, and efficient flow. You will be creating a wide variety of applications, enterprise systems, native mobile applications and interfaces on top industry platforms. If you can think of a way to do something, you can do it.
You need to be comfortable participating in all parts of the user centered design process and creating deliverables at varying levels of fidelity: from quickly communicating a concept’s value proposition to final artwork and specifications delivered to developers. Fast paced agile scrum experience is desired. Highly usable creativity, work products that are achievable technically, and steady, supportive team collaboration are your most important skills.You should possess a broad understanding of related deliverables including information architecture diagrams, interaction flows, wireframes, screen mockups, interactive demos, and UI specifications.
The position will require designing screens, interactions using many methods and protocols including web, mobile app, and database driven functionality. You foresee emerging trends and proactively seek insight regarding user experience. Design system experience is important.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have a background in visual communication and 5+ years of professional experience in user interface design.
- Relevant degree, diploma, or certificate (Graphic Design, Visual Arts and Design, Interactive/Multimedia design, Industrial Design, or Visual Communication).
- Formal training in designing for the web and applications, interaction Design, Usability or relevant experience.
- Qualified candidates should have led the design of one or more complex applications or services and a have a general understanding of the methods involved, including participatory design, rapid iterative prototyping, and asset optimization.
- Digital portfolio demonstrating your accomplishments in the design of application user interfaces. Show projects from inception to publication and point to your specific contributions that demonstrate writing, flows, prototypes, user testing experience and functional specifications. Demonstration of your approaches to prototyping and testing.
- Design system development and management experience.

- Translate high level objectives and design principles into interaction designs and UI elements.

- A fanatical attention to detail down to pixels.
- Knowledge of design systems, color palettes, typography, and print design principles
- Comfort working with developers, UX Architects, and enterprise technical environments.

- Experience with user research, both small scale and larger.
- Knowledge of usability principles.
- Knowledge of online coding languages, limitations and expectations including but not limited to XML, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript and relational database structures.
- Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, or others.

business, technical, and product management stakeholders.
